On 17th November 2020, the project Consortium hosted an Online Public Demonstration describing the Battery System prototyping, commissioning and functional bench validation activities.
The event demonstrated through presentations and videos how the project has developed a number of innovative solutions and incorporated them into the Basic Unit.
Improved key characteristics compared to state-of-the-art batteries have been provided, such as:
- A highly modular system to be integrated in different automotive and heavy-duty applications with lightweight and cost-effective technologies was designed.
- Ultra-fast charging enabled by the cooling system.
- Flexibility of the system for different applications and reuse enhanced by the use of different cooling media.
- Safety standards and recyclability are addressed by the battery system.
