Aged LTO cells were tested against a photovoltaic (PV) profile for energy storage, based on household data. The cells, during the first life testing, did not reach EoL prior to 2nd life testing due to the long cycle life of LTO cells. After more than 5000 full equivalent cycles the batteries were cycled to an equivalent 16 weeks of PV and storage use case. Two batteries out of three show good results with no capacity fade and no resistance increase, indicating no ageing from the use case testing. The results from 2nd life testing without capacity degradation and resistance are positive for the repurposing of the batteries.
